Psychology majors have access to our digital video laboratory facilities, allowing you to participate in mock counseling sessions, enhancing your communication and interpersonal skills. Our research lab is accessible for all psychology students and is a space used for data collection, group meetings, and study sessions. The labs are near faculty offices and classrooms, making it easy to stay connected to the psychology department.

With small class sizes and one-on-one mentoring, you will have the opportunity to form a close working relationship with your instructors, with the option to collaborate on independent research projects.

The psychology major includes an internship or advanced research project, which offers valuable real-world experience, preparing you for employment or continued education after graduation. Internships are offered through local service agencies.

As a social work major, you will participate in service learning by volunteering with local agencies and completing a 450-hour senior practicum with a community organization. This hands-on experience will help you develop skills and strengthen practical social work strategies.

Our social work program has been continuously accredited by the Council on Social Work Education at the bachelor's degree level since 2000. This makes our graduates eligible for the national exam required to practice social work.

Our social work faculty members bring extensive practice experience into the classroom to help you develop a deep understanding of the field. Faculty members mentor social work majors, providing guidance on a practice area, career path, or graduate school.
