Beyond the Findings: How Research Changes What We See—and What We Do.
Drawing on a career that has moved from studying intergroup conflict and political violence to measuring belonging, and designing new, local-level civic infrastructure, Dr. Argo explores research as a way of encountering the world: a disciplined practice of asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and seeing people and systems more clearly. She will examine research as a process that can itself create change—from ethnographic methods that invite people to make meaning and connect with one another, to community data used as a prompt for storytelling and relationship-building. Along the way, she will show how following questions into the world can do more than generate findings: it can reshape how we understand problems, strengthen the relationships through which we address them, and help us build the structures communities need to thrive..
