Rick Walters is the Executive Artistic Director of Viterbo University's Conservatory for the Performing Arts. As an actor, he has worked professionally in regional theatre, including the Guthrie Theater and Indiana Repertory Theatre. As a director, he has staged more than 40 productions, ranging from contemporary plays and musicals to classic works.

Much of Rick's professional life has been spent in rehearsal rooms, classrooms, and theatres, working with artists at every stage of their development. His work as an educator has been shaped by a deep commitment to actor training, storytelling, collaboration, and the development of emerging artists. He has also served as Chair of Region III of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

Across all of his work, the through-line has remained the same: a love of storytelling and the wonderfully improbable act of gathering artists and audiences together in a room to make something meaningful.
