Andy Hughes Bio

Andy Hughes is an award-winning songwriter and performer whose shows are as unpredictable as they are unforgettable. His music spans folk, country, reggae, ska, and hip hop, yet every song carries his unique voice and style. With his band TUGG he toured nationally and shared the stage with major acts, while his solo albums Heartland and Heartache and Songs for Sunday drew praise for their earthy, folk-rock sound.

What sets Andy apart is his live performance. No scripts, no setlists—he freestyles in the moment, creating songs about the audience, the venue, and the city. His guitar work, looping, and powerful vocals build layered soundscapes that pull listeners in. Every show is one-of-a-kind, and you truly have to experience it live to understand why he’s become a standout voice in the Upper Midwest music scene.
