We Will Get Through This Together
Friends,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. I wish we all could have been together for our planned meeting in March. We will have plenty to talk about when we next meet via video conference, which might be a new experience for some of you.
Students and faculty have pivoted well to online instruction, and most other staff are able to do their work remotely. Video conferencing is the key to online instruction and staff collaborations, and that is how we plan to conduct the next board of advisors meeting. We will meet starting at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, using the Zoom platform. We will send another email as the meeting date nears with more information and the link.
The campus has been quite quiet—parking spaces are easy to come by for the few of us (like me) who still come to campus to do our work. Almost all students are off campus, which allowed Viterbo to offer Bonaventure Hall as a place—we call it Hotel Bona—for health care and emergency response workers to stay to protect their loved ones from potential exposure to the coronavirus.
The mantra here at Viterbo is “we will get through this together.” As a conduit to the community for Viterbo, you are a big part of “we.” We are beyond grateful for everything you’ve done for this institution.
